Advanced Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program

One-year fellowship position is available for clinical training at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Florida. Our program is designed to provide comprehensive training in advanced hospital medicine in an oncological setting with focus in: academic medicine, quality improvement, patient safety, translational or outcomes research in hospital medicine.

H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute is a NCI-designated cancer treatment and research center. NCI recognizes centers around the country that meet rigorous standards for transdisciplinary, state of the art research focused on continued development in the treatment of cancer. Moffitt is the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida. Moffitt’s academic structure provides a supportive and collaborative environment for development of cancer research. Fellowship is academic oriented with top priority given to research and teaching. Fellow will be assigned a research mentor on a supervised collaborative project as well as be a part of the Cancer Center’s Research and Education Committees.

Moffitt Cancer Center is affiliated with the University of South Florida College of Medicine and provides education to residency training. The Fellow will play an integral role in teaching services for medical residents affiliated with USF College of Medicine. Fellows will rotate through multidisciplinary services at Moffitt including Palliative Medicine, Internal Hospital Medicine, Hematology, Interventional Radiology and Infectious Disease.

Ideal candidate is a physician who anticipates careers as clinician-educators or clinician-administrator in a teaching hospital setting with an oncological focus.

Candidates must have completed an ACGME accredited residency program in Internal Medicine and be board eligible or board certified. No visa sponsorship is available for this program. Start date: July 1st annually.
