Academic Nocturnist Positions – Hospital Medicine

The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) Department of Medicine is seeking full-time Academic Nocturnists for its Division of Hospital Medicine. The MFA is an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University. There are ample opportunities to mold the existing structure to enrich and grow the Hospital Medicine Division at George Washington University Hospital.

Responsibilities include teaching/mentoring house staff as well as working alongside our Advanced Practitioners in directing the care of patients admitted to the General Internal Medicine service at the George Washington University Hospital. Non-tenure track appointments will be made at a rank (Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associates Professor/Full Professor) and salary commensurate with experience and comes with Salary and Time differential.

Basic Qualifications: Applicants must be board certified/eligible in General Internal Medicine, and licensed in the District of Columbia, at the time of appointment.  Applicants must have an interest in academic medicine with a record of providing excellent clinical care and clinical teaching as demonstrated by experience, publications, QI efforts, evaluations, and/or references.
