Hospitalist

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School - Baystate Health, is seeking an experienced Academic Hospitalist to join our organization. 

Position Highlights –

• Join our team at Baystate Medical Center, our 716-bed academic hospital and level 1 trauma center.  
• Our hospital medicine program is one of the largest in the country with 120+ physicians and advanced practitioners across our 4 hospital system.
• The hospital medicine division includes 10 dedicated academic hospitalists who provide teaching and oversight of internal medicine and med/ped residents and medical students.  
• Opportunities to mentor residents in clinical research, publication and grant writing.   Attend simulations, medical grand rounds, and occasional didactic lectures.  
• Clinical responsibilities include seeing patients at Baystate Medical Center both with and without residents.   Model interdisciplinary collaboration and demonstrate in day-to-day practice excellence in throughput, quality, cost containment and patient and family centered care.
• Faculty appointment to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School - Baystate Health. 
•   ABMS Board Certified Internal Medicine with minimum of 2 years’ experience as an academic hospitalist.   Strong passion for teaching is essential.   Research and publishing background is desired.
