Job Details

Advance your career in a dynamic team at the leading edge of innovative new approaches to the treatment and care of children with cancer.  Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, a 630+ bed institution, is currently seeking a full-time Inpatient Staff Physician Nocturnist for our specialized inpatient oncology unit.

Our inpatient staff physician team works in close conjunction with the attending oncology physician to provide day-to-day management for complex and acutely ill cancer patients. Inpatient staff physicians work in the context of a multidisciplinary team with dieticians, pharmacists, social workers, care managers, child life, PT/OT, and nursing. In addition to the challenging and dynamic clinical experience, inpatient staff physicians have opportunities to participate in quality improvement, clinical guideline development and implementation, resident and medical student education, and clinical research.

The schedule is exclusively night shifts and includes weekend and holiday rotations. Full time nocturnists will join another staff physician hospitalist who rotates between day and night shifts such that there will be two nighttime hospitalists covering the oncology inpatients.

Applicants should be board-eligible/certified in pediatrics or medicine/pediatrics. Hematology/oncology training or oncology background is not required. Training is provided. Obtaining an Ohio Medical License is required.
