Practice Details:

  • Block schedule, modified to accommodate part-time hospitalist providers
  • 24/7 hospital coverage
  • Hospitalists see an average of 12-15 patients per day shift
  • 24 to 28 bed med/surg unit includes co-management of Orthopedic Surgery patients (15% of workload)
  • 10-bed ICU with average 2-5 critical care patients
  • ICU coverage including management of sepsis, NIPPV and ventilator management of intubated patients with available Intensivist support via Tele-ICU - University of Minnesota Physicians
  • Hospital consults available 7 days/wk from General, Ortho and OB/GYN Surgeons
  • Specialty consultation services available weekdays from Hem/Onc, Palliative Care, Urology, ENT, Dermatology, and Ophthalmology
  • Telephone specialty consultation available anytime from the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center and UMP Heart community Cardiologists
  • We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)
  • Excellent supportive team. Community supported hospital, with resources of a large organization

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine (preferred), Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency training program, or Family Medicine training program
  • Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
  • Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
