Full Time, Day shift, 9:00AM-5:00PM

DUTIES:

• Provides and manages continuous, psychiatric care service to patients under direct consultation and collaboration with the psychiatrist.
•   Offers services to designated patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient services.
• Provides full or partial services to private attending physicians who elect to utilize the Hospitalist Services.
• Assumes full service to unassigned patients as directed.
•  Responds to the requests of the nursing staff as required to ensure patient care and safety.
• NP must maintain current collaborative practice agreement with a designated member of the medical staff.
•  Participates fully as a member of interdisciplinary treatment ream.
• Active involvement in therapeutic milieu.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• NYS Certified RN – NP (Nurse Practitioner). Trained in psychiatry.
• BLS certified.
•    Experience in patient case management required; hospital experience preferred.
