Internal Medicine - Pediatric Hospitalist

Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine-Pediatric Hospitalist that is BC/BE in Med/Peds. The combined position is structured as .5 FTE Internal Medicine and .5 FTE Pediatrics.

As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will join a group of 4 other Pediatric Hospitalists providing inpatient coverage for Marshfield's Children's Hospital. Work a rotation of both day and night shifts, with days shorter than nights. No call and no NICU coverage. Excellent pediatric subspecialty support. Marshfield Children’s Hospital is a children’s hospital within the Marshfield Medical Center. It is the only children’s hospital in Central and Northern Wisconsin. It has 24 bed level 3 NICU with 24/7 neonatology support; 8 bed PICU with 24/7 pediatric intensivist support including sedation services; 26 bed pediatric acute beds including 8 bed Hem-Onc positive pressure rooms and 24/7 pediatric hospitalist support.  Marshfield Children’s is an ACS Verified Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Program and a member of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG).

As an Internal Medicine Hospitalist, you will join a large team providing a core and essential service to the clinic and hospital in Marshfield. The scope of patients on the Hospitalist Service is broad -ranging and includes medical consultation for surgical and non-surgical subspecialty patients excluding critical ICU admissions (closed ICU). Shifts include a rotation of day and night coverage. The hospital is a 500 bed hospital with 300 beds in service, 180 of the beds are seen by the hospitalists. Trauma Level 2.
