Pediatric Hospitalist: Pediatric and Med-Peds Faculty and Staff Physician opportunities
The Division of Hospital Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s has a successful history of quality improvement, translating evidence into practice, family-centered care, and leadership in education and research, including a robust hospital medicine fellowship program.
The division, led by Dr. Samir S. Shah, consists of >55 faculty and staff physicians. We provide care through the Hospital Medicine Services at 2 campuses, the Burnet (Main) Campus and the Liberty Campus. Clinical service lines include general hospital medicine and complex care as well as consultation and co-management for surgical inpatients. We provide individualized career development through mentoring and participation in and leadership of quality improvement, education, and research efforts. Pediatric Hospitalist
The successful Pediatric Hospitalist candidate possesses the following qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatrics
- The ability to receive a medical license in the State of Ohio
Experience should include demonstrated skill in physical assessment, diagnosis, and management of illness. Experience as a pediatric hospitalist, teaching of medical school students and residents, and leading quality improvement projects are not required but are differentiating factors. Additional consideration given for those with clinical informatics skills and experience and/or those with PHM board eligibility/certification. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Med-Peds Hospitalist
The division provides consultation and co-management for adults with congenital or complex healthcare needs admitted for specialized care at CCHMC. Med-Peds trained physicians will also have the opportunity to care for adult inpatients at the nearby University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) and hold a joint appointment in the Division of General Internal Medicine.
The successful Med-Peds Hospitalist candidate possesses the following qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine
- The ability to receive a medical license in the State of Ohio
Experience should include demonstrated skill in physical assessment, diagnosis, and management of illness. Experience as a pediatric and/or adult hospitalist, experience teaching of medical students and residents, and quality improvement/research expertise are not required, but are differentiating factors. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
