Alameda Health System (AHS) and the East Bay Medical Group is seeking a Nocturnist to provide inpatient services at San Leandro Hospital in the East Bay of Northern California.  San Leandro Hospital is a small, welcoming community hospital with 56 beds and 9 ICU beds and provides 24/7 ICU Intensivist coverage.  San Leandro Hospital enjoys the support of a larger safety net system including the Level 1 Trauma Center, Highland Hospital.   We are a safety net system that is proud to serve our local community with safe, equitable, high quality care. About East Bay Medical Group:

East Bay Medical Group is a multispecialty entity that supports the majority of physicians who staff Alameda Health System. We recently formed in July 2020 from two prior medical groups, producing a practitioner base that spans from new residency graduates to tenured master clinicians who have been at AHS for more than 30 years. Our group is defined by values including inclusivity, engagement, patient advocacy, leadership development and physician wellness. We take an active anti-racism stance to our work.

 

Position Highlights:

 

  • The nocturnist physician is expected to admit and provide cross coverage for the inpatient service in a 12-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.  

    Join a team of 7 dedicated hospitalists and work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

    Provide high quality care and cost-effective care in small community hospital that is recognized as a hospital with excellent quality metrics (in the region).

Qualifications

Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree is required.

Minimum Experience: Completion of approved post-graduate residency training in Internal Medicine from an accredited hospital or medical center.

Required Licenses/Certifications: Board eligibility in Internal Medicine; Board Certification (will be expected to obtain on the appropriate schedule); Compliance with Board mandated education and training to maintain State licensure and/or board certification.

Required Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in the State of California.
