Phoenix Children’s and the Division of Hospital Medicine are seeking internal medicine / pediatric hospitalists interested in careers in academic hospital medicine as we continue to expand our clinical programs and advance our academic endeavors.  The Internal Medicine / Pediatric team works closely with medical and surgical specialists to deliver appropriate medical care to both adult and pediatric patients hospitalized at Phoenix Children’s, as well as foster transition to adult medicine for appropriate patients. Further, we are in the ongoing process of networking with outpatient providers to ensure that our patients can safely transition to adult long-term providers. We work via a Med-Peds consult service housed under the pediatric hospital medicine division, which is composed of over 50 faculty across two sites and nurtures a variety of clinical, educational, quality improvement and research interests.

Current recruitment efforts are focused on filling a hospitalist position at our Main Campus. Phoenix Children’s is a freestanding children’s hospital with a level 1 trauma center and comprehensive subspecialty care. There are many opportunities to take part in research, quality improvement and educational endeavors. We host an established, ACGME accredited 2-year pediatric hospitalist fellowship program with a total of 6 fellows and play an integral role in medical education for Phoenix Children’s pediatric residency program and University of Arizona Med-Peds residency program. Our faculty hold academic appointments at the University of Arizona, Creighton University and Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.

We are looking for committed clinicians, leaders, scholars, and educators to join our dynamic Division of Hospital Medicine. Opportunities for career advancement are outstanding. Ideal candidates for these positions include experienced Hospitalists. All candidates must be general pediatric and internal medicine board eligible/certified.

Phoenix Children’s is Arizona’s only children’s hospital recognized by US News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals, ranking in eight specialties in 2022. Phoenix Children’s also consistently ranks on the Becker’s Hospital Review list of the 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare.

The Phoenix Valley Region is the fifth largest metropolitan area in the US. Over the last several years, Phoenix and its surrounding communities have experienced significant population growth while still maintaining a favorable cost of living compared to the other largest metro areas. Year-round sunshine, abundant scenic desert landscape, and access to every possible cultural and recreational and spectator sports activities are other advantages of living in the Phoenix Valley area.

This position offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits, including employer retirement contribution, generous vacation/meeting time, CME funds, health and dental benefits, disability, and life insurance.
