We are seeking an outstanding nocturnist clinician-educator to join our academic hospitalist group.  This position will be 100% FTE at the assistant or associate professor level on the Clinical Scholar pathway.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing attending inpatient care during the night shift
  • Providing consultative care and medical co-management to other hospitalized patients
  • Participating in rapid response and code coverage for inpatients
  • Teaching, evaluating and mentoring medical students and resident physicians
  • Participating in divisional and departmental efforts to improve patient safety, quality of care and/or medical education

 

Qualifications include an MD, DO or equivalent degree, board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, ACLS certification, a commitment to a career in academic hospital medicine, excellent communication skills, record of engagement in teaching and service, and US citizenship or permanent residency.
