Chief of Hospital Medicine - Mass General Brigham Salem Hospital

Salem Hospital, a 371-bed community teaching hospital and member of the Mass General Brigham Healthcare System, is seeking an outstanding clinician, leader, educator, and communicator to serve as the Chief of Hospital Medicine.

Key characteristics of the program include 47 physicians providing inpatient hospital medicine services, consultative care for patients across multiple services, and integration into the residency teaching.

The chief will collaborate effectively with leaders across the hospital system to achieve program goals that are well-aligned with system goals, prioritizing patient-centered care, safety, quality, and operations. The chief will provide mentorship and career growth and create a supportive team culture through excellent communication. The chief will also help support and develop new strategic initiatives to help the hospital system adapt to a changing healthcare environment.

Candidates with at least 5 years of current hospital medicine experience and 2 years of strategic and operational leadership are encouraged to apply. Board certification in Internal Medicine is required. This is a full-time position with shared clinical and administrative responsibilities. An academic appointment at Tufts Medical School will be supported.
