Summary of Opportunity
The Department of Medicine at Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine is now taking applications from team-oriented internal medicine physicians at all experience levels to join its established hospitalist program.
We are particularly interested in skilled, dynamic individuals from diverse backgrounds and under-represented groups who are energized by and committed to providing high quality compassionate care within a fast pace academic environment.
About the Job:
Responsible for providing-
- Direct patient care and consultative and co-management services at Temple University Hospital – Health Science Campus and Temple University Hospital – Episcopal Campus.
- Clinical and didactic instruction of medical students, residents, fellows and other trainees as assigned.
Time split between teaching and non-teaching service is flexible, based on clinical/academic interest and experience.
TUH is a 746 bed tertiary and quaternary level acute care facility.
Candidate Qualifications
- D., D.O. or foreign equivalent
- Completion of an Internal Medicine residency from an ACGME accredited program prior to their start date.
- BC/BE in Internal Medicine prior to start date.
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to employment
- Language proficiency in Spanish, Russian or Vietnamese is highly desirable, but not required.
