Job Details
Join the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Hospitalist Program, where we provide specialized, coordinated, and efficient care for our hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, you will be crucial in overseeing your patients’ progress, conducting regular assessments, and managing test results throughout their hospital stay.
Full-time and Per Diem opportunities are available at multiple locations throughout Houston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily rounds in assigned hospital(s) from approximately 7 AM to 5 PM (schedule may vary).
- Participate in the hospital call schedule, sharing responsibilities with fellow hospitalists and internists. Overnight stay in the hospital is not typically required.
- Efficiently manage patient care in the hospital, collaborating with specialists to ensure coordinated care.
- Facilitate smooth transitions of care to the outpatient setting by working closely with PCPs, case managers, and specialists.
- Engage in the teaching of medical students and house staff periodically.
- Participate in hospital committees, initiatives, and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Hospital Service/Internal Medicine Department activities.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited training program in the United States.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
- Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is open to accepting H1B Visa candidates.
