Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional clinical care to a high-complexity patient population on med-surg level units

  • Admit both hospital medicine patients and admit patients on behalf of other medical services at night (subject to change)
  • No procedures required
  • Limited cross-cover responsibilities, night shifts are primarily admitting-only
  • Closed ICUs, no critical care requirement
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers in a shared visit model for some admissions
  • Moonlighting and daylighting opportunities are available at multiple clinical sites

Schedule:

  • Flexible scheduling system for nights based on shift availability
  • Night shifts are staggered, beginning as early as 4:00PM and ending as late as 7:00AM, not exceeding 12 hours
  • 156 shifts per year
