Chief, Division of Hospital Medicine – Long Island Community Hospital

We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Division Chief to lead a dynamic team of physicians and advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in delivering outstanding patient care.  This is a pivotal leadership role for an individual who excels in clinical expertise, team management, and administrative strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

--Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team to provide top-tier, patient centered inpatient care.

--Oversee daily operations of the inpatient unit, ensuring clinical excellence and operational efficiency.

--Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and patient outcomes.

--Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for team members, prioritizing professional development and teamwork.

--Serve as a mentor and role model, setting a standard of clinical excellence and compassionate care.

--Manage staffing, budget and resources effectively to meet organizational goals.

--collaborate with hospital leadership to align the division’s objectives with institutional priorities.

--Full Time Position with clinical patient care responsibilities

Qualifications:

--MD/DO with IM Board eligibility or certification

--Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inpatient medicine, with demonstrated clinical excellence

--Proven leadership experience in healthcare setting, including administrative and operational oversight

--Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to lead diverse teams and foster collaboration

--A strong commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and innovation in healthcare delivery

Community hospital with trauma center and support services located in the heart of Suffolk County in suburban Long Island. One hour from NYC and just minutes from Long Island’s beautiful beaches. Affiliated with a major academic medical center.

Location: Patchogue, Long Island, NY

Salary range $300k-$350k

The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
