Driscoll Health System is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nocturnist to join our inpatient pediatric team. The Pediatric Nocturnist will provide high-quality, family-centered care to hospitalized pediatric patients, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support continuity of care from admission through discharge. Leadership opportunities available.

Job Details:

Newly created position driven by growth and expansion of our organization. Shifts are 7 pm - 7 am. No travel required. 24/7 in-house coverage. EPIC EMR System Applicants will be considered for a faculty appointment at Texas A&M University and other affiliate medical schools. Our hospitalists are actively involved in our pediatric residency program, providing clinical guidance and mentorship to future pediatricians.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric inpatients, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges. Work closely with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and primary care providers regarding treatment plans and follow-up care. Supervise and mentor medical students and residents, if applicable. Assist in developing and implementing hospital policies and procedures related to pediatric care. Maintain thorough and accurate medical records in compliance with hospital standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Pediatrics. Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
