The Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University seeks Board Certified/Eligible pediatricians with strong clinical skills in the hospital care of sick newborns and a special interest in neonatal medicine. The successful candidate will join a growing group of Neonatal Hospitalists working in collaboration with premier faculty in the Division of Neonatal and Developmental Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

Responsibilities include in-house neonatal coverage in a variety of roles and locations within our institution, including Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto, Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, and El Camino Hospital in Mountain View. Clinical responsibilities may be divided among the various locations and includes coverage of the Delivery Room, Well Newborn Nursery, Level II Intermediate Care Nursery, and/or a Level III NICU. In addition, candidates will also have opportunities to pursue a variety of academic and professional development activities, including engaging in resident and medical student education at Stanford, as well as participating in various clinical and quality improvement initiatives involving newborn care.

Candidates will be eligible for a clinical academic appointment in the Clinician Educator line within the Division of Neonatal and Developmental Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications. We currently have openings for full-time, part-time, and moonlighting positions. Full-time appointments are eligible for University benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Successful candidates will bring strong clinical skills in the hospital care of sick newborns and a special interest in neonatal medicine. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in pediatrics.
