Medical Director - Hospital Medicine AdventHealth Heart of Florida at Davenport, FL

SCP Health is seeking a Medical Director to oversee our Hospital Medicine program at AdventHealth Heart of Florida in Davenport, Florida. SCP Health’s clinical leaders spearhead our efforts to remain a trailblazer in delivering consistent, high-quality, dependable care. Our Medical Directors receive excellent internal support from our SCP clinical leadership team and utilize resources such as MySCP Cares billing app, SCP University for continued CME and leadership development, and participation in our annual Medical Leadership Conference which is attended by all clinical leaders across our organization. As Medical Director, you will lead and mentor a diverse and talented group of 14 full-time Hospital Medicine Physicians and 2 NP/PAs.

Overview of Hospitalist Program:
• 7on/7off block schedule for hospitalist team
• Medical Director works 7 clinical shifts/month with the remainder of work schedule dedicated to administration and leadership duties
• Full Sub-specialty support
• Respond to Rapid Response & Codes
• Hospitalists are not required to perform procedures
• ICU is currently open with plans to close it in 2022
• EMR: Cerner currently (EPIC go-live Q1 2022)
