Responsibilities

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Vascular trained Neurologist to join our growing Stroke team at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, Georgia.

Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is a 633-bed Level II Trauma center which provides comprehensive neurological care with 24/7 neurointerventional, neurosurgical, neuroradiology and neurology services. Kennestone has the busiest emergency room in the state of Georgia with over 2,000 patients with stroke presenting to the health system. The facilities include a 23-bed integrated neurological ICU. The Neurohospitalist is supported by midlevel providers, a stroke coordinator, research coordinators and an integrated physician core group of neurosurgeons and neurologists. The WellStar Research Institute supports physician initiated, NIH and industry sponsored clinical trials.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or equivalent

Clinical residency in Neurology

Neurovascular Fellowship

Must possess or be able to obtain a valid State of Georgia Medical License

DEA License

Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
