Hospitalist Physician

Job Title: Locum - Physician - Hospitalist - OB
Join our dedicated team at a leading medical facility in Springfield, Ohio! Our hospital is committed to providing high-quality healthcare, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. We are currently seeking an experienced Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join us as we enhance our labor and delivery services. Coverage needs will span from June 2026 through December 2026, with opportunities for ongoing work.
Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive obstetric care including routine and complicated deliveries.
• Handle both low and high-risk pregnancies, using FHR interpretation and OB ultrasound techniques.
• Perform required gynecological procedures including laparoscopic and major surgeries.
• Collaborate with other physicians and support staff, ensuring optimal patient care.
• Participate in labor and delivery shifts that include 24-hour in-house coverage.
• Manage hospital calls with a ratio of 1:4.
• Assist with emergent gynecological procedures and scheduled inductions as required.
• Document patient care using the EPIC system.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Experience in both low-risk and high-risk obstetric care.
• Ability to perform a range of surgical gynecology procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with a diverse patient population.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Ohio medical license (or be willing to obtain one).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Active DEA registration.
• Clean malpractice history.
• A self-query NPDB report is mandatory, dated within 30 days of presentation.
