Locum Hospitalist Opportunity 24 Hr Solo Coverage

This is a rural hospital setting where providers typically work hours onsite, with the remainder on call. Sleeping accommodations are provided nearby or on-site for added convenience.
Coverage Dates

• April 6 11
  
• April
  Preference for a provider who can cover both stretches
  

Shift: 12pm 12pm daily (orientation TBD)
Credentialing: Rush ASAP
Facility Snapshot

• Licensed for 25 acute beds (typically staffed to 16)
  
• Avg Daily Census: 6.9
  
• ICU: None
  
• Swing beds included in acute count
  
• Additional 10 inpatient psych beds (offsite)
  
• Avg LOS (Med/Surg): 3.8 days
  
• Avg Daily Discharges: 2
  

EMR: CPSI, T-System, Allscripts
Clinical Expectations
Hospitalists must be comfortable with emergent procedures, including:

• Intubations
  
• Vent Management
  
• Central Lines
  

You ll also have weekday specialty support in-house (General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Gynecology, Uro-Gynecology, Podiatry). Night/weekend coverage varies. Anesthesia is offsite call after hours and on weekends.
Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible accepted
  
• ACLS required
  
• Must be confident performing required procedures independently
