Job Details
We're seeking a Hospitalist OB/GYN to provide in house coverage at a Phoenix, AZ medical center. This locum tenens role is inpatient, starts ASAP and is ongoing, with 24 hour in house shifts and in house call responsibilities.

Day to day responsibilities
If you're a board certified OB/GYN who thrives in a busy inpatient setting and can start quickly, this role offers hands on, continuous coverage within a dedicated Labor & Delivery unit.
What you'll be caring for
- Obstetric and gynecologic patients, plus newborns 34 weeks gestation
- Case mix includes prenatal care, labor & delivery, postpartum management, and gynecologic consultations/emergencies
Facility snapshot
- Labor & Delivery unit inside a 79 bed medical center
Procedures you should be comfortable with
- Vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Recognition and management of obstetric emergencies
- Gynecologic consultations and procedures as clinically indicated
Minimum qualifications
- Board certified in OB/GYN
- Active Arizona medical license or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- At least one year of clinical experience post residency
Day to day responsibilities
- Provide 24 hour in house coverage for laboring and postpartum patients and manage obstetric/gynecologic emergencies
- Deliver babies vaginally and via C section and direct postpartum care
- Evaluate and manage gynecologic issues, performing surgical procedures when needed
- Work closely with nursing staff, midwives, and specialty backup to coordinate care
- Maintain thorough documentation and clear handoffs in the EMR
