Hospitalist Physician

Arc Health is seeking experienced Daytime and Nocturnist Hospitalist Physicians to provide inpatient care within a 99-bed hospital in the Indian Health Service (IHS) system, serving Native communities. This high-volume, mission-driven facility supports approximately 250,000 outpatient visits and 5,800 inpatient admissions annually, offering a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact in an underserved population.

Patient Population:

• Complex cases, including ICU-level care
  

Schedule & Responsibilities

Daytime Hospitalist:

• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
  
• Hours: 7:30 AM 7:30 PM
  
• Round on 8 10 patients daily
  
• Admit 2 4 patients per day
  

Nocturnist Hospitalist:

• Schedule: 5-day blocks (approximately 14 shifts per month)
  
• Hours: 7:30 PM 7:30 AM
  
• Cross-cover patients
  
• Admit 2 5 patients per night
  

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  
• Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license and DEA
  
• Minimum 36 months of experience (including at least 12 months in Internal Medicine)
  
• Current BLS certification
  
• Eligible for IHS credentialing and privileging
  
• Clean NPDB record
  
• Ability to pass federal background checks
  
• Extensive experience with ICU level care and intubations
  

Immunization Requirements:

• MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella (or proof of immunity)
  
• Tdap/Td within the past 5 years
  
• TB test within the past 12 months
