Physician / Hospitalist / Vermont / Permanent / Hospitalist Job

We are searching for two-three full-time physicians to join the team. Ideal candidates should be BE/BC in internal medicine or family medicine. The full time physicians work 15, twelve-hour shifts per month. Six physicians work the day shift (7am-7pm), one physician works the evening shift (12pm-12am) and one physician works the night shift (7pm-7am). The workload is shared equally among the physicians. The typical census ranges from 40-55 with the average number of encounters per physician being 15-17 per day (8-10 at night). The scheduling is fairly flexible with the full time physicians working anywhere from 6-8 shifts in a row. On average the physicians are covering 2 nights per month. Codes from 7am to 5pm , are generally covered by the ICU attending, the hospitalist, or the attending of record. ER physicians also cover. During the night shift, the hospitalist on and an ER attending go to codes.
The full time physicians receive $126 per hour and are required to work 180 hours per month ($272,160 annually). Any shifts worked in excess of 15 per month will be paid at a rate of $131 per hour.
