Availability / Assignment Details

• Start Date: 09/01/2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Call-only Pediatrics Hospitalist coverage
• Shift Structure: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (24-hour call shifts)
• Monthly Coverage Requirement: Up to 15 days/month
• Scheduling Pattern: 2-3 weekends/month (must include weekend coverage)
• Flexibility: Dates flexible depending on awarded provider
• Candidate Requirement: Drive-in candidates only

Clinical Setting

• Facility Type: Hospital (Pediatrics service line)
• Trauma Level: III
• EMR Systems: Meditech and Athena
• Department Beds:
  • 3 Pediatric beds
  • 14 nursing beds
• Patient Volume: 4-8 patients per shift
• Coverage Model:
  • Call-only (beeper call)
  • Includes admissions and rounding
  • Assigned and unassigned patients

Clinical Responsibilities

• Pediatric admissions
• Inpatient rounding (assigned and unassigned patients)
• Call response for pediatric hospitalist service
• Inpatient stabilization and management
• Coordination with nursing and ancillary staff

Call Requirements

• Call Type: Beeper call
• Required Response Time: 30 minutes

Requirements
Board Certification

• Board Certified or Board Eligible required

Licensure

• Active Texas license required OR IMLC accepted

Certifications

• PALS required
• BLS required
• ABLS required
