- Family Medicine physicians with significant pediatric experience will be considered
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required

- Ongoing coverage needs
- 1-5 newborns per day
- 0-2 pediatric inpatients per day
- Providers may need to return to the hospital approximately every 3-4 shifts for:
- Sick newborn evaluations
- High-risk deliveries requiring newborn attendance
- Neonatal resuscitations
- Pediatric admissions
- Urgent pediatric care needs
- Acute Care Hospital
- Adult Trauma Level IV Facility
- Low-volume pediatric hospitalist service
- Focus on newborn and general pediatric inpatient care
- Stable patients remain local; higher-acuity patients are transferred for advanced care
- Daily newborn rounding
- Pediatric inpatient rounding
- Attendance at deliveries when newborn resuscitation is anticipated
- Newborn stabilization and evaluation
- Pediatric admissions and consults
- Coordination of transfers when higher-level care is required
- Critically ill pediatric patients are transferred to a tertiary care center
- Sick newborns requiring advanced neonatal services are transferred
- Providers are not expected to manage ongoing critical pediatric or neonatal ICU-level care
- Minnesota-licensed Pediatrician or Family Medicine physician with strong pediatric experience
- NRP certified
- Comfortable with newborn care and delivery attendance
- Able to independently evaluate and stabilize pediatric and neonatal patients
- Interested in a lower-volume pediatric hospitalist practice with occasional urgent call-back needs
