This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while collaborating with pediatric specialists and supporting continuity of care across the region.
Position Highlights:
- Serve as thepediatrician of recordduring each hospital stay, coordinating with primary care and specialty providers.
- Oversee admission and discharge processes to ensure safety, timeliness, and cost-effective care.
- Rapidly assess and manage acutely ill children, including coordination of transfers to and from the PICU.
- Teach and mentor pediatric residents during Patient-Centered Rounds.
- Participate in medical staff committees and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Develop and monitorevidence-based clinical pathwaysto enhance the quality of inpatient care.
Shift Model:
- 7 days on / 7 days off
- Flexible 12-hour or 24-hour shift options
- Continuous on-site hospitalist coverage during scheduled shifts
Qualifications:
- MD or DO with Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatrics
- California medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in pediatric inpatient care preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
