- Licenses/Certifications: Vermont medical license or ability to obtain; DEA; Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years hospitalist or relevant inpatient care experience preferred
- Salary Range: $300,000 - $350,000 annually (based on experience and credentials)

- Provide direct inpatient care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges for hospitalized patients
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic conditions
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care tailored to a rural population
- Collaborate with specialists, primary care providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff
- Coordinate patient care plans and transitions
- Interpret lab tests, imaging, and other diagnostic results
- Document all clinical encounters thoroughly in the EMR system
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies, including codes and rapid response situations
- Manage ventilator support as needed
- Participate in clinical rounds, interdisciplinary meetings, and hospital committees
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care
- Comply with hospital policies, regulations, and medical ethics
Required:
- MD or DO license in Vermont or eligibility to obtain one
- Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Valid DEA license
- 2+ years of hospital or inpatient care experience
Preferred:
- Experience in rural or community hospital settings
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
