Job Description OB Hospitalist
A regional healthcare system with multiple community hospitals across eastern North Carolina is expanding and seeking Board Eligible or Board Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologists to serve as OB Hospitalists. These positions support labor and delivery services across several community hospitals as well as a central tertiary medical center. New graduates and visa candidates are welcome to apply.
Eastern North Carolina offers a mild climate, affordable housing, excellent schools, and close proximity to North Carolina's beaches-providing an excellent quality of life.

- Employment within a physician-led healthcare organization
- Hospital privileges across multiple community hospitals and a tertiary medical center
- Opportunity to work collaboratively with regional OB/GYN providers and an academic Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Support from a state-of-the-art children's hospital offering:
- Multiple pediatric subspecialties
- Level IV NICU
- Close collaboration with an established academic OB/GYN division, including:
- General OB/GYN physicians
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
- Reproductive Endocrinology
- Gynecologic Oncology
- Urogynecology
- Certified Nurse Midwives
- On-site advanced practice provider support
- Schedule options include:
- Seven (7) 24-hour shifts per month, or
- Fourteen 12-hour shifts per month
- Includes 36 hours per quarter at the tertiary medical center to maintain clinical competency
- Travel stipend provided
- Integrated electronic medical record (EMR) system
