Employed Hospital-Based OB Program
Projected Compensation: $150 per Hour + Comprehensive Benefits
She Recruits is partnering with a major faith-based pediatric-focused health system in San Antonio to recruit Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN physicians for a structured OB Hospitalist program.
This is a high-impact hospital-based obstetrics model designed to enhance maternal safety, improve clinical outcomes, and support community OB providers within a collaborative pediatric-centered environment.
The Opportunity
As an OB Hospitalist, you will serve as an in-house Labor & Delivery physician ensuring that every pregnant patient presenting to the hospital receives immediate, expert obstetrical care.
You will function as a clinical safety leader within a structured program focused on quality, collaboration, and standardized care protocols.
This model allows you to practice high-acuity obstetrics without the administrative burden of outpatient practice management.
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care
Deliver direct care to high-risk obstetrical patients
Independently manage obstetrical emergencies
Participate in daily Labor & Delivery board rounds
Serve as Safety Officer on Labor & Delivery
Collaborate with community OB/GYN physicians and midwives
Provide practice coverage when clinically appropriate
Promote standardized safety and quality initiatives
Schedule & Work Structure
Primarily 24-hour shifts
Some 12-hour or mixed-shift models available
Full-time physicians typically work 5-9 (24-hour) shifts per 28-day block
Approximately 19-23 days off per month
No outpatient panel responsibilities
No traditional office management duties
Benefit eligibility begins with a commitment of five shifts per 28-day block.
This structure supports meaningful work/life balance while maintaining a strong clinical presence.
Compensation & Benefits
$150 per hour guaranteed

Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
Texas license or ability to obtain
