A growing academic Internal Medicine program in the Kansas City metro area is seeking an experienced, Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician to help train the next generation of physicians as part of a newly accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program.

A growing academic Internal Medicine program in the Kansas City metro area is seeking an experienced, Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician to help train the next generation of physicians as part of a newly accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Position Highlights:
- Academic Internal Medicine Attending opportunity within a developing residency program
- Work closely with Internal Medicine residents and medical students in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facility rotations
- Teach lectures, conferences, and didactic sessions as part of the residency curriculum
- Provide mentorship, supervision, and clinical education to residents and medical students
- Participate in resident evaluations, program development, and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborative academic environment with strong institutional support
- Opportunity to play a key role in shaping and growing a new residency program
Schedule:
- Inpatient 7-on/7-off schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Shared call schedule among all providers
- Approximately 1 in 4 weekends of inpatient rounding with house staff
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Minimum of two years of inpatient medicine/hospitalist experience following residency training
- Prior experience teaching or supervising medical students and residents
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentorship skills
- Commitment to academic medicine and resident education
