REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Obstetrics Procedures: Low Risk Pregnancy (history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, etc.), High Risk Pregnancy (toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher cardiacs, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease, etc.)
  • Labor and Delivery Procedures: Routine Delivery Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section; Complicated Delivery C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.; VBACs; Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
  • Gynecology Procedures: Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only - Tubal Ligation, LOA's, Chromal Tubation; Surgical Gynecology Open
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospitalist
  • Licenses: Active Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • NPDB report required at time of presentation (pulled within 30 days)
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide labor and delivery coverage for the hospitalist model, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
  • Manage high-risk and low-risk OB patients, including complications such as toxemia, diabetes, etc.
  • Back up midwife services and respond to call for midwife from 7p-7a.
  • Perform emergent GYN surgical procedures (laparoscopic and open) as needed for unassigned ER patients.
  • Collaborate with RNs, CNM, and other OB/GYN providers to ensure continuity of care.
