Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) Hospitalist/Nocturnist for a high-paying locum opportunity in New York. This role offers a night shift schedule with no call, manageable patient census, and a collaborative inpatient care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care to hospitalized adult patients
  • Admit, evaluate, and manage acute medical conditions
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of illnesses and diseases
  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and care teams ️ ️
  • Communicate with primary care providers for continuity of care
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and discharge instructions
  • Document all patient interactions using EPIC EMR
Schedule Highlights
  • Start Date: May 25, 2026
  • Coverage: 1 week per month
  • Shift Options:
    • 5:00 PM 5:00 AM
    • 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • 3 x 12-hour night shifts
  • No call required
Qualifications
  • Physician Assistant (PA) Board Certified
  • Active New York license (required)
  • BLS & ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of hospitalist/inpatient experience
  • EPIC EMR experience required
Preferred Experience
  • Strong inpatient/hospitalist background
  • Experience managing acutely ill adult patients
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts
  • Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills

  • Location: Acute Care Hospital (109 beds)
  • Patient Population: Adults
  • Average Patient Ratio: 1:
  • Team includes PA, NP, LPN, and physicians
  • All hours billable
