Central Arizona Nocturnist Job
- Role: Nocturnist - Internal Medicine
- Location: Central Arizona (approx. 100 miles north of Phoenix)
- Type: Permanent
- Employer: Private hospitalist group
- Credentialing: Two hospitals (you only work at one per shift/week - no inter-hospital travel)
- Start: Open to 2026 residents; H1B visa transfer opportunities available
- Schedule: 7-on/7-off; 12-hour shifts (6-6 or 7-7 depending on site)
- Volume: 18-22 patients/day (may be higher during busy season)
- Admissions:
- Hospital : 0-2 from 6 AM-12 PM; daytime admitter 12-8 PM
- Hospital : Admissions from 7 AM-12 PM or 4-7 PM
- Coverage:
- Hospital : 5 hospitalist teams, 2 NP teams, one admitter, ICU nocturnist at night
- Hospital : 2 hospitalists + 1 NP team, 1 nocturnist at night
- ICU Duties:
- Hospital : ICU rounding possible, Intensivist support available
- Hospital : ICU rounding required; transfer decompensating patients to Hospital
- Codes:
- Hospital : Respond to codes/RRTs for own patients; ED/Intensivists lead
- Hospital : Respond to all codes/RRTs
- Procedures: Not required
- EMR: Cerner
Compensation & Benefits- Base Salary: $300,000-$350,000
- Extra Shifts: Available (in-house moonlighting)
