NP/PA Hospitalists needed in Grand Forks ND!

Dates: asap for 13 weeks

Schedule: 40 hrs per week - mix of day hours and weekends

No call

2 years of experience requested (may try 1 year if solid experience)

EMR: EPIC

Requirements:

BLS, ACLS and PALS

ND license

DEA

Job Description:

Assistance in the OR would be a necessary requirement, rounding in hospital and post op acute clinic time.

Additional Information:

General Surgery Time in OR would be to assist the general surgeon as needed. Provider will work in conjunction with another NP/PA to cover 7 days a week coverage. Would not exceed 40 hours per week. No call.

Clinic time: Wednesday mornings and maybe Friday PM to start as this position is primarily to support the acute care surgery providers. Primary would be rounding on inpatient, assisting with discharge planning, discharge orders etc., taking phone calls about patients on the floor etc.

Average cases per day: 3 8

Average number of patients seen during rounds:

Average number of patients seen per day at clinic: 8 10 at least

Type of patients seen: Post-surgical, wound checks, post hospital

Typical cases seen: Gall bladder, appendectomy, small bowel obstruction, and any trauma cases that come in.

Required procedures: None for APP alone will assist and receive direction from surgeon during any surgical procedure.

May possible round in ICU/CCU with oversight from surgeon.
