Position Overview
Provide primary, acute, and chronic care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. This role blends clinic responsibilities with inpatient coverage , offering variety, autonomy, and strong community impact.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care
- Deliver comprehensive pediatric care in clinic and hospital settings
- Perform physical exams, developmental screenings, and diagnostic evaluations
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric conditions
- Prescribe medications and oversee treatment plans & continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and compliant EMR documentation
- Maintain active hospital privileges
- Participate in inpatient care and call rotation (including evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams
- Build strong, trusting relationships with patients and families
- Provide education on preventive care, treatments, and medications
- Deliver culturally responsive, patient-centered communication
- Participate in quality improvement and peer review programs
- Attend provider meetings and continuing medical education (CME)
- Collaborate with clinical teams and leadership on care initiatives
- Support training and organizational development efforts
Required:
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency
- Board Certification in Pediatrics
- Active or eligible Washington State medical license
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems
Preferred:
- Bilingual ( English/Spanish ) ️
- Experience in outpatient pediatrics and/or rural healthcare
- Pediatric diagnostics & clinical decision-making
- Clear and compassionate communication
- Strong documentation & attention to detail
- Team collaboration across clinical settings
- Ability to balance inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Combination of outpatient clinic and hospital care
- Occasional travel between locations
- Physically active role (standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs)
- $230,829 $300,077 annually (DOE)
