We are looking for a locum tenens physician to provide coverage as a pediatric hospitalist for a major hospital in the Champaign - Urbana area (Level 1 Trauma center).

Details :

• Setting: inpatient hospital medicine for pediatric patients
• Duties/description:
  • 8 physicians on staff
    
  • 150-180 PICU admits per year (average per shift is 3-5)
  • 200-260 intermediate admits per year (average per shift is 2-7)
    
  • Support staff: ICU team, 1 clinical nurse specialist, ancillary staff: child life, pastoral services, nutrition, social services, PT/OT, speech, pediatric sedation service in place
• Schedule: Day shifts are 7am-5pm, night shifts are 5pm-7am; needing coverage for Dec/Jan and beyond
  
• Credential in 60-90 days

Required :

• Must be board certified or eligible in pediatric medicine or pediatric hospital medicine
• Active IL license or IMLC accepted
• Maintain and active and unrestricted DEA license
