Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,290 - $3,900
• Role: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Cardiology / Cardiology NP
• Setting: Cardiology Unit, Step Down, and ICU

• Start Date: July 1, 2026
• End Date: December 16, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, primarily covering days (7 days per week)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiology, acute care, or critical care (Cardiology NP / Acute Care NP)
• Active North Carolina NP license required
• Active North Carolina DEA registration required
• Ability to perform ICU procedures: arterial line placement, central line placement, cardioversion
• Strong clinical documentation skills: progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, consult notes, discharge summaries
• Experience with Cerner EMR and hospital-based workflows preferred

Responsibilities

• Daily rounding on all floor-level patients admitted to or seen in consultation on the general cardiology service line
• Write daily progress notes, event notes, admission histories & physicals, consult notes, and discharge summaries with strong clinical documentation
• Order medications, diagnostic testing, and procedures as indicated
• Perform ICU procedures (arterial lines, central lines, cardioversion) when needed
• Conduct new consults in collaboration with attending physicians
• Collaborate closely with hospitalist medicine, cardiology, pulmonary critical care, and cardiovascular surgery teams
