What You'll Do
  • Admit and manage adult inpatient admissions during overnight shifts
  • Evaluate new admissions and initiate treatment plans in a timely manner
  • Provide comprehensive overnight inpatient care, including admissions, cross-coverage, and urgent clinical issues
  • Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, case management, and the daytime hospitalist team
  • Complete documentation, orders, and detailed sign-out to ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help mentor Advanced Practice Providers and trainees as appropriate
Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or applicable specialty
  • Active California medical license
  • Must have BLS
  • Active DEA (or eligible to obtain)
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
