Coverage Needed:
- Ongoing 24-hour shift coverage
- Round on newborns in the nursery
- Attend deliveries
- Night call after daily responsibilities (rarely called back)
- Active Ohio Medical License - Required (IMLC Accepted)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics - Required
- NRP Certification - Required
- DEA - Required
- Level I Nursery
- Comfortable caring for newborns 35 weeks gestational age and older
- Attend C-sections
- Care for sick newborns
- Circumcisions
- Frenotomy (tongue-tie procedures) preferred/optional
- Nursery averages:
- 500-600 deliveries annually
- 40-50 deliveries per month
- 24-hour shifts
- Daily newborn nursery rounding
- Attend deliveries
- Night call following daytime responsibilities
- Call-back is rare
- Acute Care Hospital
