Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pediatric Hospitalist to provide comprehensive inpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents. The Pediatric Hospitalist will be responsible for managing acute and chronic pediatric conditions, coordinating multidisciplinary care, performing essential procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes within the hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pediatric Hospitalist to provide comprehensive inpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents. The Pediatric Hospitalist will be responsible for managing acute and chronic pediatric conditions, coordinating multidisciplinary care, performing essential procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes within the hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Pediatrics
- Active and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
- Strong inpatient pediatric experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
- Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) Required

- Pediatric Evaluation and Treatment
- Endotracheal and Nasotracheal Intubation (ETT/NT)
- Central Line Placement
- Umbilical Venous Catheter (CUV) Placement
- Needle Thoracostomy/Pneumothorax Decompression
- EKG Interpretation
- Provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care, including admissions, daily rounding, consultations, and discharges.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic illnesses in pediatric patients.
- Care for newborns and pediatric patients in hospital settings.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Respond to urgent and emergent pediatric situations, including rapid response and resuscitation events.
- Interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory findings, and electrocardiograms (EKGs).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams regarding treatment plans and care progression.
