Hospitalist Physician Job Requirements

• Active physician license and eligibility to practice in Tennessee
• Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related physician specialty
• Minimum of 1 year of physician experience preferred
• Ability to work a flexible daytime schedule in an inpatient hospitalist setting
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to high-quality patient care
• Clean background and credentialing file preferred for timely onboarding

Hospitalist Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage during daytime hours
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of adult medical conditions
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to support safe, efficient patient care
• Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner
• Respond to changing patient needs with flexibility and professionalism
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the assignment
