Hospitalist Physician

IMLC Welcome - Locum Hospitalist Opportunity - West Branch, Michigan

RecruitWell is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician for a locum hospitalist opportunity in West Branch, Michigan. This inpatient-only position offers a 7-on/7-off schedule, EPIC EMR, and welcomes physicians with an IMLC qualification.

Position Highlights

• Locum tenens opportunity
• Start date: September 14, 2026
• Expected assignment: 3 months
• 7 on / 7 off schedule
• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM with nighttime call
• Inpatient-only practice
• Hospital-employed hospitalist group
• Approximately 100-bed hospital
• One hour from Saginaw

Clinical Details

• Must have respiratory/critical care experience
• Required procedures include:
  • Moderate sedation
  • Lumbar puncture
  • Endotracheal intubation/extubation
  • Paracentesis and thoracentesis
  • Ventilator management
  • Chest tube insertion
  • PICC, arterial, and central line placement
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Emergent tension pneumothorax management
  • External pacing
• Five proctored cases required for each procedure privilege
• Clinical support provided
• EMR: EPIC with Dragon

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• ACLS certification
• 50 inpatient case logs within the past 12 months (verification required)
• Michigan license or IMLC eligibility accepted

Orientation

• One day of orientation
• Two to three days of proctoring
• Orientation pay:
  • $400 for four hours or less
  • $800 for more than four hours
