What You ll Do
  • Provide direct medical care for hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
  • Collaborate with specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, CRNAs, and emergency physicians to coordinate patient care
  • Respond to medical emergencies, conduct ventilator management, and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Ensure thorough documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR
  • Participate in clinical rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Educate patients and their families about diagnoses and follow-up care
  • Support hospital policies, regulations, and ethical standards

What You Need
  • Active MD or DO license in Vermont or eligible for license reciprocity
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (preferred)
  • Prior hospitalist experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rural hospital environment
