Job Details

Physician-employed inpatient position at a 36-bed acute care hospital in Great Falls, MT. Seeking Board Eligible or Board Certified Hospitalist (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to join a collaborative, physician-led team. 7-on/7-off day shift schedule (7:00 AM-7:00 PM) with predictable workload and strong specialty support.

Key details
  • Schedule: 7-on/7-off, day shift only (7:00 AM-7:00 PM)
  • Average daily census: 15 patients
  • Nursing ratio: 1:5 (adjusted by acuity)
  • Team: dedicated nocturnists, Pulm/Critical Care physician, experienced NP on same 7/7 schedule
  • Specialty support: Telemedicine Critical Care/Pulmonology and full panel of on-call specialists
  • EMR: robust system and efficient workflows
  • Procedures: procedural experience preferred but not required

Facility features
  • 36 inpatient beds
  • 10-bed open ICU
  • 8-bed Emergency Department staffed by experienced clinicians
  • 2 cardiac cath lab suites
  • 8-bed pre/post-procedure unit
  • 5 ORs plus a 4-OR Surgery Center
  • 5 observation beds

Requirements
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Montana medical license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Prior hospital medicine experience; procedural skills preferred
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
