Hospitalist Physician

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: ASAP - Ongoing. September needs include: 9/10, 9/14, 9/18, 9/19, 9/20 (24-hr shifts), 9/22, 9/23 (5pm-7am shifts); additional dates needed monthly through December.
• Job Setting: Inpatient; Call Only (Beeper Call)
• Types of Cases: OB/GYN call coverage supporting patient care needs. Facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center with a Level 3 NICU. Manages high-risk antepartum patients. Approximately 1,100 deliveries per year. Required skills include: low and high-risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), OB ultrasounds (Level I & II), amniocentesis, routine vaginal and low forceps deliveries, C-sections, breech deliveries, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs, repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations, and decision-making for C-sections. Preferred skills include laparoscopic diagnostic/minor and operative/major gynecologic surgery.
• Call Ratio: 2-3 calls/day; Call Back: 1-3/day; Phone Consults: 3-5/day; Patients Seen: 5-6/day; Admissions: 2-3/day; Call Response Time: 30 minutes

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required
• Licensure: Must be licensed in Idaho (ID)
• Fellowship: Level 2 required
• Credentialing: Estimated 45 days upon completion of medical staff application; temporary privileges available
