- Provide direct medical care to hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based care
- Coordinate care plans and support smooth transitions of care
- Order, interpret, and act on laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Document patient encounters, care plans, and outcomes timely in the EMR
- Respond to medical emergencies, including codes and rapid response situations
- Participate in clinical rounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Emergency Medicine physicians, nursing, respiratory therapy, and CRNAs
- MD or DO
- Ability to provide care in a hospitalist setting with strong clinical judgment
- Documentation and EMR proficiency (timely documentation required)
- Board certification (compensation may consider board certification; board status not explicitly required)
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary inpatient care teams
