Job Details

• Location: Anchorage, Alaska
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Duration: 12 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts with day, night, and weekend coverage
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,160 - $7,290
• Patient Volume: Approximately 18-22 patients per shift
• EMR: EPIC

Job Requirements

• Active Alaska medical license required
• Board certified in ABIM or Family Medicine
• At least 1 year of hospital medicine, internal medicine, or inpatient experience preferred
• Willingness to work 7 consecutive shifts, preferably 2 weeks per month
• Availability for day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and rotating call as needed
• Ability to work independently in a closed ICU setting
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for adult hospital medicine patients
• Manage an average census of 18-22 patients per shift
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to support quality patient outcomes
• Admit, assess, round on, and discharge patients as appropriate
• Document accurately and efficiently within the EPIC EMR system
• Participate in rotating call coverage and maintain flexibility for evolving clinical needs
• Deliver timely, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting
