Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

Opportunity Overview:


This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, family-centered care in a well-supported community hospital environment while participating in teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuity of care with pediatric and neonatal services.


Position Highlights:

• Provide care on a 17-bed pediatric floor and in the newborn nursery.
  
• Approximately 2,400 deliveries annually.
  
• Pediatric floor average daily census: 5 patients.
  
• Newborn nursery average daily census: 15 patients.
  
• Daytime support from Advanced Practice Providers.
  
• 24-hour rounding and call with call taken from home or hotel.
  
• Block scheduling available.
  
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists available onsite and through telehealth.
  
• Teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities.
  
• Program start: November 2026.
  

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified in Pediatrics Required.
  
• Virginia medical license Required.
  
• Must have been clinically active within the past year.
  
• Minimum 6 months of clinical experience within the specialty.
  
• Completion of the required prescreen questionnaire.
  
• CV must be submitted in MM/YYYY format, with all employment/education gaps explained.
